Your role
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director oversees the activities of DocTocToc and ensures their coherence, quality, and development. They support the team, guide the organization’s growth, and contribute to the evolution of practices in close collaboration with a wide range of partners.
The Executive Director supervises a small multidisciplinary team (5–7 people), including roles in coordination, intervention, and administrative support. They are responsible for team management, including recruitment, onboarding, supervision, performance evaluation, and staff development, in a spirit of collaboration, care, and accountability.
The role sits at the intersection of the healthcare system, the community sector, and institutional stakeholders. It requires the ability to navigate complexity, set priorities, and make decisions in a rapidly evolving environment. The Executive Director also contributes to partnership development, process structuring, and organizational growth, in alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic directions.

- An annual salary between $75,000 and $85,000, depending on experience;
- Four weeks of vacation, plus one additional week during the holiday season, as well as additional statutory holidays.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the organization’s operations and development;
- Plan, organize, and prioritize activities and projects in a context of limited resources and intersectoral collaboration;
- Oversee operations and ensure the quality and continuity of services;
- Support and supervise the team in a context of growth and change;
- Gradually structure practices, processes, and management tools;
- Develop and strengthen partnerships with the healthcare system, community organizations, and other key stakeholders through proactive outreach, collaboration, and relationship-building;
- Actively contribute to fundraising efforts, including building and maintaining relationships with partners, foundations, and donors;
- Represent the organization in various settings, including events, public presentations, and funding initiatives;
- Ensure alignment between the mission, strategic directions, and actions;
- Contribute to the organization’s evolution and long-term sustainability.
Profile sought
DocTocToc is seeking someone comfortable in evolving environments, able to balance strategic thinking with pragmatism, and committed to a social mission. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, mobilizing leadership, and adaptability, while actively contributing to the development of a growing organization.
The selected candidate will also have:
- Relevant experience in management, team coordination, or organizational development;
- The ability to supervise and mobilize staff in a context of limited resources;
- Strong skills in structuring information and writing (reports, follow-ups, institutional communications);
- Comfort with management and office tools, as well as openness to using emerging technologies (including artificial intelligence) when relevant;
- The ability to interpret financial and operational information to support decision-making.
Experience in a community organization, non-profit, or within the healthcare system is required.
A relevant university degree is expected.
